Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CloudCostIQ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, you must not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CloudCostIQ.

2. Description of Service

CloudCostIQ is a cloud cost optimization platform that connects to your Amazon Web Services (AWS) accounts via read-only IAM cross-account roles. The Service analyzes your spending patterns, detects cost anomalies using statistical and AI-powered methods, and provides actionable optimization recommendations. We do not modify, delete, or alter any of your AWS resources or configurations.

3. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• One person or entity per account — no shared credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

The Service offers three tiers: Free ($0/month), Pro ($60/month fixed), and Enterprise (custom pricing, minimum $130/month). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe or Razorpay.

• Pro plan pricing is fixed and non-negotiable at $60/month
• Enterprise pricing is custom but requires a minimum of $130/month
• Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase on a case-by-case basis
• Downgrading to Free will immediately restrict access to paid features
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

5. Data Access & AWS Integration

We access your AWS cost and usage data exclusively through read-only IAM cross-account roles that you configure. We never request or store AWS root credentials. We do not modify your AWS infrastructure, resources, or configurations. All data access is logged and auditable. See our Privacy Policy for detailed data handling practices.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Share account credentials with unauthorized parties
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Overload the Service with automated requests exceeding reasonable use
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

7. Limitation of Liability

CloudCostIQ provides cost optimization recommendations as informational suggestions only. We are not liable for any financial decisions, infrastructure changes, or business outcomes resulting from our recommendations. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms with or without notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing settings. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow for export, after which it will be permanently deleted.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
